Making wine at home- balloon popped, is it ruined?

I have a big jug of wine I’m making, and the balloon got too full of air and popped. I added a new balloon as soon as I saw it, and the most it went without the balloon was a few hours. Is it still salvageable, or is the wine ruined? The wine is only 2 days old. This is my first time making wine…

no it sounds okay, just try it out

it might have some airbourne bacteria that’s fallen in it but you should be using an airlock, not a balloon

Chances are that your wine is still OK. The acidity of wine makes it tough for bacteria to survive. Next time, use a real airlock.
